BOHOL January 2012:
Visayas is a region in the south of Philippines, Cebu is the capital.
I flew by Cebu pacific from Hong kong (“notice” you need a return ticket or you are not able to get into Philippines). I spent two days in Cebu and from there by a speed boat I want to Bohol (the speed boat takes two hours). From the port I took a taxi ( tuk tuk) and after 30 minutes I arrived in Alona beach.
The beach is plenty of dive centre and accommodation (hotel, guest house and b&b).
I chose dive and accommodation with Genesis divers www.genesisdivers.comThe owner Giso was very nice (dive center good and accommodation comfy).
I spent three days diving in different locations: doljo, gak-ang, balikasan, arco point.
I met Vera a German girl and we became friends, she is a very nice person and a very good diver (now, she is instructor). I enjoyed a lot the time I spent with her. She persuaded me to get the advance certificate.
The first day in daljo I did not see a lot and in gak-ang was a little better,
The second day in balikasan I really enjoed the three dive site: cathedral, divers heaven and black forest offer a nice underwater life, I was very happy..I saw a lot of fishes: lion fish, giant moray , scorpion fish, turtles, and a frog fish ( I like this kind of fish, it is very funny).
The third day in bbc and arco point was nice too: good visibility, 30mt. depth, water temperature 27 and I saw hump head parrot fish, box shrimps and a yellow frog fish yesssss….ejejej
The fourth day I got an infection to the throat, nose and ear and I want to the hospital. No more dive for me for the next 7 days; I decided to move to Malapascua to get a rest to fill better and diving there looking for a thresher shark.
