The Island is fantastic. I spent a lovely holidays.

I didn´t have any contact about diving in Sri Lanka, I never met anybody talking of a dive site in Sri Lank, and it is not a dive destination, but I travelled with my computer and when I was in Passicuda in the north of the island I decided to dive. The dive center LSR Lanka Sportreizen www.LSRtravel.com is inside of a hotel and it was hard to find. I had to ask so many times but at the end I could talk to MR. Sujith Sanjeewa the instructor and in charge of the place. Nice person. The dive center is clean and tidy.

He told me the next dive was a wreck dive and I like it, so I book for the day after in the morning.

Twenty minutes by boat and we arrived to the dive site "Lady Mc Call wreck".

On the surface the water was bad, no visibility, bit by bit I was descending the water was clearer and I saw the British carrier at 25.2 mt. deep.

Around the wreck there was an intensive activity. So many schools of fishes, one of them was anchovies, I saw a very nice BLACK SPOTTED STING RAY and lion fish, scorpion fish baby and big, prawns, nudi branch, pipe fish. After 62 min the dive was over and we want back to the beach. Only one dive but I enjoyed it.

​Two days later I was in Uppaveli walking on the beach and I saw ANGEL DIVING (Esta dirección de correo electrónico está protegida contra spambots. Usted necesita tener Javascript activado para poder verla.). I started to speak with the director and instructor Mr. Suranjith Perera, very funny person.

The dive center is small, tidy and very good organized.

The dive site is close to the shore, scuba divers and snorkelers shared the same boat.

Two dives in the morning in a very shallow water 9.6 mt.and 10.1mt.

The first one was called navy reef and the second turtle reef.

We saw nudi branch, crabs, prawns, yellow moray ell, lobsters, school of barracuda, box fish, scorpion fish, pipe fish (big), turtles (a lot), giant moray, and lion fish. I spent a nice time diving with this dive center, I really recommend it.

Unfortunately I do not have photos of the dives. I am very sorry.
