Malapascua island octuber 2015

Malapascua Island

Malapascua is an amazing island in the central Visayas.

Fly to Cebu, Cebu Airport is the main gateway to Cebu Island for both international and domestic flights.

From Cebu get a bus to May (around 4 hours) I was travelling with my friend Vera, we got the only bus leaving from the bus station at 9.30 am running back to it in the middle on the road, It was very funny.

From May by Banca in ½ hour you will be in Pamalascua.

Crossing can be rather wet; the bancas have very little shelter from the waves and they are small. I got wet but I enjoyed so much with the waves  ejejejej.

There is no transport on the island; you will not need any, as you can walk everywhere. We did not have reservation and we were very lucky to find a nice accommodation.

I spend one week in this island, the first five days I was sick and I could not dive so I enjoyed the sand and the beach starting to study the padi advance book. The last day my infection was over and I dived with evolutiondiving. The owner Matt Reed introduced me in the advance course with the first of five dives: the deep (about the others four, I finished my course in Coron, I did navigation, wreck, multilevel and photo.) without it I could not dive and looking for the thresher shark, the dives are deep at least 30 mt.

I get up early in the morning, the dive first dive is at 5.30am, it is the best time to see the sharks. The sea was roof and the visibility no so good.

The dive at 30mt deep was short; I did not see any shark bud luck!!!

Shame…No more chance for me to see the thresher…..

I have to be back to this fabulous island.
