I spent three days two nights diving in a liveaboard.
Everything was great and very good organized.
The gears are in good condition, the crew is very professional,
they explain with briefing all the procedures to dive safe, there are paying
attentions at any time inside and outside the boat.
I did not have a body, every time I was diving with a different person.
I am not used to it, normally in others boats I dived in a group or with the same person but it did not worry me and I enjoyed a lot the fantastic spots like Saxon reef and Norman fingers. The night dive was amazing, awesome: face to face with sharks, giant travely, carpet cod, turtles, spotted eagle ray.
The day dive is so plenty of colours with a huge quantity of corals.
About fishes you can meet turtles, barracudas, parrot fish, bump head giant parrot fish, greasy cod, trumpet fish, nudibranch, sharks white tip, unicorn fish, long nose butterfly fish, bullish, cow tailed ray, giant travely.
I really recommend this trip. You do not need so much experience to dive in these places, the maximum dive time is 40 minutes and the maximum depth is 18-20 mts, the water is worm 28 degrees.
No current and tide, there are not a drift dives and the guide is not necessary.
My bit of advice is: pls, change more often the dive site, the Great Barrier Reef is very long; it is a pity to dive twice in the same place…..
