Siquijor Island 29-30-31 Janury 01-02 february 2014.
The island is located in the Visaya region, on to the northeast there is Bohol and to the south is the island of Mindanao.
I flow by airplane from Manila with Philippines airways to Dumaguete.
I grabbed my bag, I got a taxi and very fast I want to the port to buy a ferry ticket. When I arrived to the ticket office the boat was full and I had to wait for the next one.
The day was great and the cruise was nice. I arrived late in the afternoon, it was darkness. I just had one idea where to go but I did not booked an accommodation.
I started to bargain with a taxi driver and after a while with two Swedish girls we got the sandugan beach direction.
I found an accommodation in the Kiwi dive resort and the day after I started asking about diving, nobody was very interesting to explain me the dive site until a duck guy come, he was a dive instructor and suddenly I understood I could trust in him, so the same day we make two dives in the location of Larena and Larena aquarium.
I spent nice time, the water was worm and the visibility good, I saw turtles, lion fish, little tiny shrimps(colemans), nudibranch, cuttlefish´s eggs and a very nice harlequin sweet lips.
The duck instructor was working with another dive centre “Last frontier” in San Juan beach and I moved the day after there.
The owner is Ken Saito a very friendly person. I really felt comfortable diving with them. I met three dives, for weather condition I could not able to make more.
Takot shoal, tubot and house reef are the name of the location where I saw lion fish, scorpion fish, shells, crabs, helmet crab, cleaner crab, turtle very big, nudybranch, and shrimps.
I decided to go back to Dumaguete but I had to wait one more day because of typhoon alert the schedule had changed.
Next time I´ll go to the close island colled Apo.
